Rig Building Crews

DSL employs Rig Building Crews all over the World, erecting, outfitting, decommissioning, extending and modifying Derricks. DSL is the only company in the Industry to date that provides API Certified Derrick Technicians, trained and qualified at our API and IADC approved training academy. This training involves all aspects of Derrick and Drilling Structure training including derrick erection, crown block removal and installation, changing out racking boards, guide rails, derrick bolts and many other workscopes.

All of our Rig Builders undergo an extensive level of both in-house and external training, as well as competency assurance.

Our competency assurance system is approved by OPITO, which combined with our API & IADC Approved Training, ensures that you receive the most highly trained personnel to protect the safety and integrity of your operations. However, productivity is also a key element of our reputation and the pro-active attitude of our field staff to getting the job done whilst maintaining the safest working environment is one that is repeatedly recognised by our customers.
